Four Oaks is a peaceful, back-to-basics, nearly-wild campsite with just enough facilities for comfort and all the space you could possibly want.

Expectation management: we are a back-to-basics campsite, not a hotel-bathroom-in-a-meadow campsite. We do not offer on-demand showering facilities.
We have two commodo-composustainalogical-optiecocomfort huts. Yes, this means composting toilets – THE most environmentally respectful way to ‘go’. Solar powered. Integrated water feeds/sinks for hand washing. Serviced twice a day. All necessities supplied.
Dry toilet systems can save 20,000 litres of water per person each year. That’s 20 tonnes of water!

Drinking water is a direct feed from the mains water supply.
Washing and washing up is up to you. Solar showers (not supplied) can be used / wash pails available – heat yourself some water or go for it cold. Privacy shack available.
Free to use off-grid (solar) power / charging station for your battery devices (phones, cameras, torches, laptops etc.): USB (A and C) DC ports and three pin AC sockets available.
Our 13ft al fresco refectory table (with bench seating for around 20 people) is available for anyone to use, or reservable on request for group dining. It’s free, of course, and conveniently located next to a brick-lined fire pit. Who can resist: beside your family and friends, under a rural sky, warmed by fire and food and feeling on top of the world…?

Dancing flames, freed from distraction. We can supply sustainable and locally-sourced seasoned logs for you to build your perfect evening fire.

Who’s Four Oaks Camping for
Four Oaks Camping is for respectful nature-loving individuals and families looking for a simple, spacious and quiet farm-style campsite with well-connected local attractions and amenities.
What to expect
Natural SPACE, and toilets, taps and information: the rest is up to you. Apart from water, this is an off-grid campsite; we do not have mains electricity and we do not accommodate chemical toilet disposal.
